Dr. Heintz Grove is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She provides psychological therapy to children, adolescents and families. Known as “Dr. Jane”, she works with client concerns regarding issues related to mood and anxiety, low self-esteem, social skill and peer relationship issues as well as adjustment to life transitions. Her interventions provide a developmentally informed approach incorporating evidence-based behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, and interpersonal approaches. Services are tailored to meet the needs of the individual and family. Providing an attentive and kind listening ear to client issues, her goal is to collaborate with clients to work toward solutions.

Dr. Heintz Grove also provides psychoeducational and diagnostic assessments to clients between 2 and 18 years of age who present with learning or developmental difficulties and/or problems with attention. She provides a detailed evaluation of challenges while also acknowledging strengths to leverage a balanced approach to recommendations and clarifying next steps. Parents readily seek out assessment through Dr. Heintz Grove for help in understanding their child’s school related learning challenges such as Learning Disabilities in reading/dyslexia, writing or math, possible Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder as well as other developmental or social concerns.

She welcomes parents who are seeking brief consultation and guidance on managing challenges related to parenting children and youth.

Dr. Heintz Grove received her Doctorate in Applied Developmental Psychology- Clinical Program from the University of Toronto – Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. Her Master of Arts, also from University of Toronto, focused on Instruction and Special Education. In addition to providing service with Delta Psychology Group, Dr. Heintz Grove has provided clinical services at CHEO and the Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre (OCTC) for over 20 years combined with 14 years in an active leadership as Professional Practice Leader at OCTC.
