Dr. Jane Heintz Grove

Dr. Heintz Grove is a Clinical Psychologist who is licensed with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She provides psychological therapy to children and adolescents. She works with client concerns regarding issues related to mood and anxiety, low self-esteem, social skill and peer relationship issues as well as adjustment to life transitions. Her interventions provide a developmentally informed approach incorporating behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, and interpersonal approaches. Services are tailored to meet the needs of the individual and family. She seeks to understand the presenting issues and to collaborate with clients to work toward solutions.

Dr. Heintz Grove also provides psychoeducational assessment of children and adolescents between age 7 and 18 presenting with school learning difficulties and/or problems with attention.

She welcomes parents who are seeking brief consultation and guidance on managing challenges related to parenting preschoolers, children and youth.

Dr. Heintz Grove received her Doctorate in Applied Developmental Psychology- Clinical Program from the University of Toronto – Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. Her Master of Arts, also from University of Toronto, focused on Instruction and Special Education. In addition to private practice, Dr. Heintz Grove has provided leadership and clinical services for over 16 years at the Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre as Psychologist and Professional Practice Leader.
